The IDA Materials

The Infant-Toddler Developmental Assessment–Second Edition (IDA-2) is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, family-centered process and developmental measure designed to identify children birth to 36 months of age with developmental concerns.

The IDA-2 includes the Provence Birth-to-Three Developmental Profile, a criterion-referenced measure of development in eight areas:

(1) gross motor, (2) fine motor, (3) relationship to inanimate objects/cognition, (4) language/communication, (5) self-help/adaptive, (6) relationship to persons, (7) emotions and feeling states, and (8) coping behavior.

IDA-2 meets the assessment criteria required by IDEA and is consistent with the National Task Force on Screening and Assessment of the National Early Childhood Technical Assistance System (NECTAS) guidelines.

The IDA-2 Kit

The IDA-2 Materials consist of The IDA Kit, Manuals and Official Recording Forms. The IDA Kit is available complete with Manuals, Forms, manipulatives and carrying case or the IDA Kit can be purchased with optional configurations to meet all needs. The IDA Forms may also be purchased separately as needed.

The IDA Foundations and Study Guide and the IDA Administration Manual are designed for assessment professionals to learn the IDA. The IDA Readings provide relevant family, health and developmental information for the context in which the IDA is administered.
